> twenty five, twenty one: i had to be just like everyone else and watch this bc coming of age is so fun to watch. all i can say is heerim shouldve been endgame they shouldve been canon they are everything to me. i genuinely believe that the entire storyline was written w heerim endgame in mind and then was changed later bc it just seems so much more natural than heedo/yijin but i still enjoyed their story either way. my poor yijin he went through so much :(( i wanted to see more about them in the 2000s bc i feel like they needed to include more of heedo’s friendships in the 2000s to justify not just ending it right after heedo/yijin breakup. i liked the unhappy ending though lol it was good. 

> blueming: this was a cute little watch that i actually really liked???? like this wasnt on my radar at all but i saw it on the tl so i tuned in and i loved the cinematography so much. im hwang da seul fan <33 also i really like the family relationships that blueming explored and i also found the conflict to be really like realistic i guess? i feel like this is why media with characters who are college-aged are so good bc all these ppl are young and prone to making mistakes (<- guy who is also college-aged and young and prone to making mistakes). it’s so good though,, definitely rewatchable.

> cherry blossoms after winter: another quick watch,, the premise of this was so weird like YALL ARE ADOPTIVE BROTHERS???? anyways i dont even have that much to say ab this bc i definitely didnt like it as much as blueming but it was alright

> heartstopper: sooo cute i loved it. i read the graphic novels back in 2020 and i loved how true the live action stayed to them like i’d seen the casting months ago and loved it but watching this was another thing entirely,,, so good. it’s cute and cringy and i would’ve loved this in middle/high school. i need a s2 but the way netfl*x has been moving these days,,, 

> business proposal: i had to watch this to support sejeong and byungchan and it was . . . alright? youngseo and sunghoon were truly the stars of the show,, their storyline was so entertaining,,, hyoseop’s character was so annoying i couldnt get past it,,, hari was cute and sejeong deserves this popularity. i dont have much else to say about this lol i didnt get attached to it and that’s exactly what i needed for finals week

> in the soop: im truly back in my carat era,,, this was so fun to watch idk if anyone found it boring but i absolutely did Not. i love seeing less scripted, more relaxing shows and this was so good. just watching svt cook and talk late into the night was fun. i hope svt get to do in the soop every year bc they deserve to get away from the city and rest a little.

> hit the road: watching behind the scene concert content is always bittersweet to me bc it’s so obvious svt love performing but i hate seeing it take such a big toll on their health :// it took me so long to watch this bc it was hard seeing them getting hurt and sick. 

> belbelland s2 ep 1: im kinda interested in verivery so i watched the first ep of their variety show and they’re entertaining for sure,,, i will continue watching bc i know literally nothing ab them. the subs were only for the captions though and it left out a lot of dialogue which was annoying but i think i’ll go back and watch s1.

> verivery weekly idol: they are so funny i loved this,, why was their random play dance so hard,,, yongseung didnt speak at all until the 16th minute which was ill bc he’s the one who sparked my interest in vrvr in the first place,,, also everyone clowning dongheon is so funny to me. 

reading

books

> daisy jones & the six (taylor jenkins reid): finally,,, i finally finished it. i think tjr books will always take me 2 tries to get through,, idk why,, bc i read the last half of this book in two nights literally while the first half took me like 2 weeks. but this was good! idk if the climax was anticlimactic just to me but they really played it up. it was predictable but it was meant to be so that was fine. im patiently waiting for the tv show now.

> portrait of a thief (grace d. li): this was one of my most anticipated reads of this year and it didnt disappoint ? i know some people thought it wasnt as action-heavy as they wanted but i liked that it focused on feelings and i did identify with the feelings of most of the characters,,, also irene <33 my fav character <33 i feel like this treated the feelings of diaspora so well and i liked that there was diversity in within the main characters bc theres definitely levels of assimilation and it differs from person to person and i loved everything about this book.

i went to go look at my bookmarks and theres only 2 fics i bookmarked in april lmaoooo,,, i know exactly why though. i started reading nan chan and for some reason danmei always replaces my nighttime fic reading,, idk why though bc other books do not replace fic but anyways thats why theres nothing in this section lol.

all the svt scrobbles,,, me restanning svt really has taken over every area of this roundup lol,,, i love this part of stanning/restanning groups though bc enjoying the music is just better than any other stage of stanning groups. 

there weren’t that many cbs this month but i did enjoy verivery’s which is good bc the other title tracks of theirs that ive heard,,, i didnt enjoy as much. 

writing

barely wrote again this month but not upset i have all of this month to write before i get busy w summer classes and other things so :D my measly 2k wc isn’t too bad.

digital journaling

continued w digital journaling this month and played around w some other layouts and i think i like most of these spreads! the first one is definitely the worst bc the colors/aesthetic is something i personally never do lol. the green spread is so perfect and i think these spreads are better than last months! the last 2 spreads are my favs <3

overall

i had a busy busy month but im done w the semester and i have a few weeks before i get my wisdom teeth out and my summer commitments start so im gonna make the most of my break :D i honestly dont even remember what i did at all in april i feel like i spent most of it just studying, but a few things i wanna do in may;; i wanna watch our flag means death, finish nan chan, finally read a nonfiction book, and watch star in my mind. i wanna start watching star in my mind so bad idk why but im super excited for it lol i might just start watching it soon bc idk if i have the patience to wait till the end of may. anyways i hope everyone has a good may <33
