ykw i actually had a good month this month,, thats what happens when i have no academic stress in my life.

> our flag means death: i actually enjoyed this so so much,, the fandom is already kinda wack but i expected that. i cant believe i watched this this month actually lol it feels like it’s been so long. i need s2,,, and more jim screentime next season. i know everyone’s already written their thinkpieces on the parallels between izzy and mary but still,,,, it takes me aback every time bc i love mary and then izzy hands is just like That. hate that guy.

> star in my mind: wanted to watch this simply for the scene where dao tells kluen that he doesnt know how many times he’s tried to get over him and i liked that scene ! everything else was kinda just There but with a better storyline i think joongdunk could do really really good,,, i dont wanna say this is as bad as futs but like phuwinpond also suffered from terrible writing but work so well together.

> cutie pie: watched this after i got my wisdom teeth out and well it was fine. it had a very fanfic-y premise and lian’s character was kinda manipulative and even the fact that they were childhood friends couldn’t really save this for me. 

> bridgerton s1: also watched this after i got my wisdom teeth out and found this soooo boring. i wanted to watch s2 for ms kate sharma but idk i didnt wanna skip this season but i shouldve. it took me like a week to get through this bc i really did find this so boring. i think daphne and simon are both interesting characters separately but not together? i liked their interactions w other characters a lot more than with each other lmao

all i watched was svt content, some verivery content, and a few random bg mafia dances. i havent watched the new season of come on tbz but im going to !!! idk im currently very into svt again so i will just let myself watch all the svt content i want to esp since they’re promoting rn!

books

my reading is actually kinda sad for this month lol

> book lovers (emily henry): i will eat up everything emily henry puts out lol i love her writing. loved this one too,, i think a more open ending would’ve fit the tone of this book a lot more but i still really liked it!

> after the quake (haruki murakami): out of all the short stories, i think i liked all god’s children can dance and ufo in kushiro. the others were good but didnt really stand out as much to me. this was actually my first murakami book and i was left feeling kinda underwhelmed ? idk maybe i’ll like some of his other works more.

> this absurd fraction by radicchio: felt so much. i liked this a lot for someone who isnt even a huge fan of soulmate fics. the Perfect amt of pining and misunderstanding for me :D i love 97z so much.

this was honestly a pretty boring month for music,, i think all the best music came out at the end of the month,, who is listening to gotta get back p1h ? that’s real music right there. i  was gonna make a different post w music thoughts on svt and tbz and other recent releases but honestly i  dont think im gonna,,, but lets just all know that i love svt’s new album like i didnt think i would like hot very much but it slaps. it’s so good. its always stuck in my head. my favs from face the sun are shadow and don quixote but i dont think thats a surprise to anyone. 

writing

yall i wrote this month! an entire fic! it was only 2.9k but i wrote it all in one sitting and thats the most ive written at once in months and i actually like the fic :D  very happy ab that! i  think that makes my total wc for the month about 5.5k which isn’t bad at all considering i got my wisdom teeth out and did nothing for that entire week.

honestly didnt do as much as i thought i did,,,, and my summer classes started yesterday and im just generally more busy but i really did enjoy my little month of no obligations! i went to the beach and saw friends that i hadnt seen in 4 years, got my wisdom teeth out and just generally spent my time however i wanted to. it was a good month! i hope everyone had a good may and has a better june <3 happy pride :D
