i had another pretty decent month,,, i was a lot busier than last month which was both good and bad.

watching

tv

> dna says love you: i know i always say i like shows that other people find boring but this was so boring to me in the first few episodes lol,,, it really didnt get interesting to me until they started dropping hints about who amber really was… still an okay watch! i had nothing else to watch lol.

> mr. unlucky has no choice but to kiss: this was cute T___T japanese bls are so fun and the premises are always so interesting. this was lighthearted and fun and i loved both of the main characters,,, shinomiya having amazing luck but wanting to balance it out with fukuhara’s terrible luck,, it was cliche but Cute

> love all play: yeah i saw the “i’ve rooted for you since i was 12” quote on twt and i was a goner i had to watch this childhood friends to lovers is my fav trope ever,,, and this was good for the most part! park twins have such a genuine relationship i loved watching them together and im just a park taeyang fan all around she never deserved the hate she got. i got really fed up w the junyoung storyline by like ep 10 bc it was just…. soooo annoying to me i didnt like junyoung or taejun’s parents lol. i wanted there to be more focus on yunis playing badminton but ig ep 16 mostly made up for it!! also yumin was so cute i love her and junghwan grew on me lol.

> plus and minus: this wasn’t too bad i watched it for the childhood friends to lovers,,, the hold that trope has on me is unreal,, but this was okay,, not amazing,,, who else thought that the guy who plays fu ligong looks kinda like sunwoo,,, no one ? ok. anyways i liked the main couple a lot more than the second couple something ab them just didnt sit right with me. but the drama in eps 10-12 was annoying and i wouldve liked to see more of them as lawyers during those eps i think that would’ve been more interesting. 

kpop

> come on! the boyz: god-saeng: i love my tbz and after seeing them live this month i finally started to catch up on their content starting w this! they’re so funny who else cried when they saw eric in ep 1 before Everything happened :(( idk what my fav episode is but the part where they were all in bed together was so cute and also i have a fond spot towards the wool doll changmin made,, even though it definitely is nightmare fuel. 

i dont think i watched much else in terms of kpop i definitely focused more on actual dramas and books this month!

reading

books

> nan chan (tang jiuqing): this took me 2 months to read lol the switch to the flashback in the middle really took me out of the story but i pushed through! i definitely think this is really solid in terms of plot just bc its not super long so it doesnt drag at all. im jiling fan but im not as obsessed with them as i thought i would be lol.

> act your age, eve brown (talia hibbert): decided it was time to get Out of my reading slump and nothing motivates me more than getting through a really easy romance so i read this in a few hours and it did indeed motivate me! i think this one was my least fav out of the series, but i also think it was the most entertaining? like eve hitting jacob with her car is just so funny to me.

> girls of paper and fire (natasha ngan): wanted to spend the rest of june reading sapphic books just to celebrate pride month in a small way and i started out w this book. i actually did not enjoy it that much i found myself skimming most of the middle of the book. i think the world building was really off and didnt suck me in at all,, and i think the romance was so bland im sorry… it was a decent read but i dont think im gonna read the rest of the series. 

> home field advantage (dahlia adler): another case of me wishing more books like this were out when i was like 14-16 like i wouldve ate this up,,, and i enjoyed it a good amount at 20. this is definitely geared more towards 15-18 year olds but i knew that going in so i enjoyed it as much as i expected to! it was cute and actually addressed homophobia and misogyny while still being a really cute book about a cheerleader and quarterback falling in love :D

im currently reading the final strife (saara el-arifi) and the writing is soooo good. i wanted to finish it before june ended but it has 600 pages and i started it like 3 days ago so yeah thats not happening. this was a good reading month even though i cant stop comparing it to last june when i read 7 books,,, where did she go.

literally inhaled any and all svt fic i found this month,,, i think im having too much of a good time rn but the thing is theres just always something for whatever mood im in like i can get my sad pining fics and i can get my comedy and i can get fluff and its just perfect bc theres just so much svt fic for me to consume and theres only one ship i really dont like at all so yeah,, so much to read.

face the sun was definitely my fav release of the month,,, it was sooo good and she’s the boss album is super good too. technically neither of them came out this month but it counts anyways lol.

writing

i wrote 9k!!!! i expected to write more than i did last month bc i honestly only ever feel the urge to write when im busy but i didnt expect to write nearly 10k :D all 9k was for the jumilric ive been slowly working on, and its like 75% done and im enjoying myself!

overall

i think june was a good month! it was really busy bc my summer classes started and i started a new volunteering thing and both of those started at the same time which was a little overwhelming, but i saw tbz live, got my nose pierced and just did a lot of fun things !!! ive definitely had a better summer so far than last year,, bc i was so depressed last summer lawl. i didnt do much digital journaling but hopefully i can pick that back up next month!! hope everyone had a good pride month and has a good july <333
