unnecessary gmmtv 2022 teaser first impressions + ranking

this is so unnecessary lol but it's been a few months since ive watched any gmmtv shows so i am strangely excited for these teasers.

why do i get so excited for gmmtv new series,,, im here though and ready to watch all of these teasers. i feel like gmmtv teasers go 2 ways: either the concept is really good but then when the show comes out it falls flat bc of the writing or something or the teaser isnt good at all but the acting saves the show when it actually comes out. i feel like it’s always one of those two but anyways im still excited.

first impressions in the order i watch the trailers in:

> my precious: omg this has film in it i love film i may just have to watch for her. and the guy who played phuwin’s brother in futs,,, very interesting. i like the high schoolness of it all lol

> moonlight chicken: first off why would they call it moonlight CHICKEN. anyways earthmix yess i love them their acting looks really good in this. i Love the premise omg are they both cheating on their partners or is it just mix’s character ? this looks so interesting i love when directors play around w relationships like this it just gets so much more interesting and realistic . the nephew’s storyline also looks okay and khaotung’s in this ??! we will be tuning in ! i really like the colors they used in this trailer and the cinematography looks good im definitely most excited for this one. 

> cupid’s last wish: erm why is mix’s characters souls always attached to someone else like why is he body swapping w his sister T__T this one looks less promising than moonlight chicken to me but im an earthmix fan so i might still watch it we’ll see how bored i get next year :D it does have friends to enemies to lovers (i think at least) and thats one of my fav tropes so we’ll see. the only thing i dont really like is the body swapping bc i feel like the plot would’ve still been compelling enough without it ? also mix’s hair length in this trailer is PERFECT i love the long hair !!! 

> you are my favorite: I DIDNT REALIZE THAT WAS MIKE ON THE THUMBNAIL ??? mike main role yay ! that being said i dislike krist so bad that i cant even be too excited ab this one. what is w the fic tropes in all of these trailers… i expected it but not to this extent ? why are we time traveling T__T. this seems interesting enough and i like mike but the fact that krist is in this pushes it so far down in my ranking lol.

> astrophile: the main lead for this is so pretty i couldnt stop staring at her the entire time. move away bright and off. im probably not gonna watch this one bc love triangles,, no thanks. but it doesn’t look too bad tbh

> never let me go: PONDPHUWIN !!!YES . wait is this action ? IT IS YES I WIN ! this already seems more promising than futs and that’s all i can ask for for pond and phuwin. phuwin showing his absolute range as an actor i really like this . the way they’re styled in the trailer is so nice too i hope they keep it similar for the actual show. this is so up my alley its catered right to me i will hype tf out of this drama i love it already. and the colors in the opening scene,,, yeah this is probably going to be my most anticipated release from gmmtv next year. i feel like they could absolutely write some backstabbing into the plot and even though i know they probably wont it would be so good. pond telling phuwin to run away with him only to stab him in the back,, omg

> vice versa: another body swap bl ? except the bodyswapping transcends universes now ??? how did gmm’s board approve all of these bodyswapping dramas. the trailer was kinda confusing for this one ngl ? it looks fairly interesting though again idk if i’ll watch it though. 

> 10 years ticket: stop this one looks So good ohm acted his heart out in this trailer,, im excited. i really enjoy dramas that deal w family dynamics and i can already tell this one will do it so well,, im just literally very excited to see ohm acting in this !!!

> star and sky: im confused is this two different dramas in one or ??? bc the first half of the trailer looks okay to me bc FRIENDS TO LOVERS my fav thing ever actually and the one scene where they were crying saved this trailer bc they Can act. the second half is literally just gmmtv plagiarizing their own show but 1000 stars was better ? no but like actually is this two stories in 1 drama or not i do not understand. i kinda only wanna watch star in my mind bc the other one is Literally 1000 stars .

> umg: hm i do like the premise but whats all this about aliens,, i feel like the “mystery” part is gonna be a letdown but wtf watching all these trailers with ohm and nanon is making me want to start watching bad buddy and ykw,,, maybe i will start it after i finish pose. the music was so stranger things esque and im definitely interested but idk ?

> dirty laundry: FILM <333 honestly i love this cast so if i watch this i will be only for the cast. idk wtf is going on between the laundromat the suitcase and the random band they form ? but foei and jennie’s characters are very much giving off high school theater couple and that is so funny to me,, im also already formulating insane film pond nanon ot3 thoughts,,, i need to stop rn. this looks fun !!

> midnight motel: this is probably the least interesting midnight series to me but it doesnt look bad ! kinda gives me a 3wbf vibe but more polished (idk if i like that or not?) but ig since im not as invested in any of the actors it just didnt pique my interest too much !

anyways i didnt watch all of the trailers,, i think there are like 8 i skipped over but if i do end up watching them i’ll come back and add them in.

can you tell im pondphuwin and earthmix fan,,, im actually very hyped for all of the projects ohm and nanon are in too bc they are such good actors ? i need to start watching bad buddy asap. idk how vice versa got up so high but this is only based on my first watchthrough of all the trailers,, i think i might already switch things around though lol. my top 3 is solid though im excited for those.

HI ASH!!! I’m so excited to read ur reactions hehehe why is gmmtv so serious! I totally agree with you on this: either the concept is really good but then when the show comes out it falls flat bc of the writing or something or the teaser isnt good at all but the acting saves the show when it actually comes out. i think that’s part of the fun with gmmtv series fjkdsfjkds u never know what ur gonna get! But omggg u NEED to start watching bad buddy!!!! i promise you will love it – ohm and nanon are seriously some of gmmtv’s best actors and they are doing such a good job so far!! The premise is light and cute but still has emotional and serious parts, its perfect to me! Ok enough bad buddy propaganda lets get into ur first impressions :D

I love how we are all film simps <3 isnt she the prettiest girl ever... (i'm still sad we never got the earnpear endgame we all wanted but ill let it slide bc we might get lesbain love in bad buddy hehehe) I put my precious first on my list simply bc of film and nanon (+ the rest of 00z) but then I watched it again and was like… ok this doesn’t look That good ☹ but yes I think the coming of age/high schoolness is the most endearing part.

i love when directors play around w relationships like this it just gets so much more interesting and realistic SAME!! I’m so excited for thisss but srsly. Why midnight CHICKEN. And agreeee mix is so cute with long hair <<333

I’m so sad that mike’s first lead role will be with krist T___T like he rlly deserves someone better. I am sad that krist is in this one bc honestly the premise is quite compelling to me, but I prob wont be watching it bc of that ☹ I thought he wasn’t going to do more bls!!! Like stay awayyyy

OMG STOP WITH THE NEVER LET ME GO BACKSTABBING…… ur mind T___T that would actually be insane and for my own sake I hope u don’t manifest it but,,,,,,,, its by the 3wbf director so rlly anything could happen?? Wait how far are u… I haven’t started s3 yet but I absolutely loved seasons 1 and 2, like I’m pretty sure I cried every single episode fjskdfjsd. READING UR THOUGHTS WAS SO FUN!!! We pretty much agree on everything and have similar lineups so <333 oh and I think u should watch the trailers for the other 2 bls – the eclipse and my school president!! I’d like to hear ur thoughts 😊 my school president seems basic but the lead is so cute (he’s earth’s nephew in midnight chicken I think?) but the other teasers were mostly bad so i wouldnt waste ur time watching them T_T anyways I’m glad to have another person along with me on this insane gmmtv ride <333 have a good weekend ash!!! i started bad buddy last night,, i couldn't hold out any longer and i just spent like 4 hours watching the first 5 eps lmaooo,, nanon is such a good actor like i cannot and ohm,,,, he already has a tiny little soft spot in my heart,,

i finished s1 of pose like 2 days ago!! i know something really sad happens in s2 lol and im kinda scared to watch for that reason,,, which is why i started bad buddy lol....

i thought i watched all the bl trailers but i'll watch the other 2 omg,, the actor who played earth's nephew in midnight chicken did catch my attention !!!

i feel like overall this isn't a bad lineup for 2022!!! between never let me go, midnight chicken, dirty laundry, and 10 years ticket im actually really excited !!!! thank you for reading,,, i hope you had a good weekend too!!! i definitely did since i spent it watching bad buddy instead of studying for my orgo final lol
